Solsting och Flygplan

Då var man nyligen hemkommen från flygträffen i Eslöv. Det var en otroligt upplevelse och vi lyckades se allt från fallskärmhoppning o formation, Jas 39 Gripen samt diverse flyguppvisningar med bland annat Spitfire och en Mustang.

Det var strålande solsken och endast ett par få moln på himmeln och gott om flygentusiaster. Det var också första gången jag kände att jag fick använda mitt nya Ef 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 IS fullt ut. Bildstabiliseringen är ett måste för att kunna få bra med skräpa i bilden. När man fotograferar helikoptrar samt propellerflygplan så hjälper det mer då man oftast ligger på en längre slutartid (1/80 – 1/125) får att få mer rörelse i bilden. Vi vet alla att frysta propellrar samt rotorblad inte direkt ger något liv i bilden.

Vitbalansering och almänna färg inställningar tycker jag alltid är svårt när man gör denna typen av fotografi, dock så är jag nöjd med resultatet.

Glorious Saturday!

This saturday started out with a trip to MediaMarkt to have a look at the photo department. The best thing with MediaMarkt is that for once you can actually test out the equipment before you decide to buy, thus making the purchase a whole lot of easier.

I have for a long time trying to decide between the two lenses  Canon’s Ef 300 f/4 and Ef 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 IS. For some people it might be an easy choice but i have been comparing the reach of the 100-400 and of course the sharpness of the 300. After testing them both it became quite clear to that advantage would lie with the extra reach that the 400 provides.

Later that day i went to Estt (Söderslätts flygklubb) to take some photos at an event there. Overall I was very satisfied with my new lens paning (is performance) and the reach for taking close up headshots and ofcourse the airplanes themselves.
